Award-winning, ingenious Original BBQ Salt
An award-winning blend of charcoal, roasted garlic, and the finest smoked sea salt from Halen Mon. This salt is intended to achieve a meaty, barbecue flavour that gets added to meat before cooking.
Our Original BBQ Salt won 2-Stars in the Great Taste Awards 2017, and here is what the judges had to say:
“This is an interesting and unusual product – the big salt crystals look attractive and the flavours all come through, without any one element dominating. The crystals can be crushed easily in the fingers and we all felt it would be a great seasoning for a barbecue. Many flavoured salts are gimmicky but this tastes good and would be a useful addition to the seasonings shelf.”
Customers should use these salts as they would when seasoning their meats. The idea is to build extra layers of flavour at each stage of the cooking. They work really well as a finishing salt on foods like steaks. They are not used to overpower, but to enhance your barbecue. Throughout our testing, we found it even works well on grilled vegetables and ‘meat substitutes’, such as grilled Halloumi.
