Our brand new Salt & Vinegar Salt was designed to add the classic, British chip shop flavours to the much-loved Fish & Chips dinner. We have created the seasoning with the intention of creating fully flavoured battered fish and crispy chips. You can use this salt as a replacement for salt & vinegar. Replacing the vinegar ensures you don’t get the sogginess on the fish & chips.
This seasoning uses the finest sea salt made by Halen Mon who produce Anglesey Sea Salt. Their process of producing sea salt is unique and has even been legally recognised as such under EU law. “What a great idea! We loved the sharpness of the vinegar and the gentle salinity of the sea salt. A very fine powder with a huge amount of intense flavour. The nose is highly pungent – full of malt vinegar notes. These follow through very well onto the palate with a striking similarity to seaside fish and chips! Very clever and delightfully balanced – we can imagine this sprinkled all over our fish supper and the chips still as crisp as they were as they came out of the fryer. Clever stuff”.
